'Emerald Goddess' has 2.5cm wide, dark green leaf blades to a height of 30-40cm. Dense lavender flower spikes are produced in mid-Summer. Liriope'Emerald Goddess' stays in clump form and does not spread by rhizomes. Perfect for borders, edging and mixed beds.

Liriope mascari 'Purple Explosion' is an incredibly useful plant in UK gardens, providing a lush evergreen edge to your borders or pathways throughout the year. A very architectural plant with bold exotic foliage. Melianthus major has large silvery-green leaves with serrated edges. Commonly called the ‘Honey Bush’, this plant makes a fantastic addition to exotic gardens. In mild areas it will remain evergreen and produce peculiar red flower spikes in summer/autumn. The seed pods that follow the flowers are very long lasting and add further winter interest. When the leaves of Melianthus major are touched they release a lovely aroma that is similar to peanut butter!
This is a wonderful variegated evergreen grass-like perennial. Each of the narrow leaves is mostly white with a thin green stripe through the centre, making Ophiopogon intermedius 'Aztec Grass' a brilliant plant for brightening up those dark areas in your garden. This resilient plant grows equally well in shade as it does in full sun making it a very versatile addition to any garden. In July and August this plant will produce spike of tiny white flowers followed by dark berries. Ophiopogon intermedius 'Aztec Grass' is very hardy, though some foliage may get frosted back in severely cold weather. This variegated form of Opiopogon is one that is not seen for sale in the UK very often.

A hardy evergreen plant commonly called 'Mondo Grass' or 'Lilyturf'.Ophiopogon japonicus 'Minor' is a very attractive and compact low growing plant that forms tight mounds of short narrow leaves and very occasional pale lilac flowers. This grass-like perennial makes a fantastic ground cover plant to fill in those difficult shaded spots underneath larger shrubs and trees. Kew Gardens use this plant to great effect in their Japanese inspired garden.

Known as 'Spanish Moss, this is a rootless hanging epiphytic perennial that is widespread in the tropics and sub-tropics where it hangs from large trees. Tillandsia usneoides silvery branching stems can reach several metres long. These unusual plants uptake water that is trapped by the tiny silver hairs that cover the cylindrical leaves. Scented, tubular, yellow-green or pale blue flowers are produced in late spring or autumn. Try draping this plant over the larger shrubs and trees in your summer garden for an authentic jungle look. It's extremely easy to care for when grown both indoors and outdoors in summer.

One of the best evergreen climbers for UK gardens. Star Jasmine, as this plant is commonly known, will produce masses of highly scented white star-shaped blooms all summer long. Trachelospermum jasminoides is a perfect plant for growing near seating areas as it will fill the air with its heady fragrance. Trachelospermum jasminoides grows very happily as a container plant trained to grow up a trellis or garden arch. The thick waxy evergreen leaves of star jasmine can turn fiery red in the cold of winter, elongating its season of interest.

A beautiful & hardy palm tree that thrives in the UK. Tracycarpus fortunei, sometimes called 'Trachys' for short, produce a thick hairy trunk topped with a tropical looking crown of glossy evergreen palm leaves. In summer Tracycarpus fortunei produces panicles of yellow blooms that hang from its crown and really add to the exotic look. Tracycarpus fortunei is native to parts of southern China and has the common name of 'Windmill palm'. These surprisingly fast growing young plants are a great affordable way to add palm trees to your garden.

An architectural hardy Yucca that has rightly become one of the most desirable drought tolerant plants for UK gardeners. Yucca rostrata is a striking plant species that is known as the 'Beaked Yucca' because its flowers are said to resemble the beak of a bird. Mature plants will produce a thick trunk topped with an almost spherical rosette of narrow blue-green leaves. The smooth leaves are spine-tipped and sway gently even in the slightest breeze. Mature Yucca rostrata plants will produce a 1.5m flowering stalk with creamy-white flowers in autumn. The flowers of this Yucca, as with other species, are adored by pollinating insects. Yucca Rostrata is native to the Chihuahuan desert of Northern Mexico.
